Banner|Aetna Health Care Summit Draws Brokers and Health Care Leaders Together to Discuss a Revolutionary Approach to Health Care

PHOENIX - Banner|Aetna hosted some of the valley’s most prominent brokers and health care leaders over the past two days at its Health Care Summit at Talking Stick Resort & Casino. The conversation was centered around how health care in America continues to evolve, and it’s evident that a one-size-fits-all health care system is no longer working. Two of the most respected names in the industry, Banner Health and Aetna, presented its new joint venture, and highlighted how the new model of care is easier, proven and revolutionary.

Banner|Aetna CEO Tom Grote, and Banner Health chief medical officer Dr. Groves joined over 150 brokers on September 7 and 8 to discuss the most pressing issues facing health care today including:

  • Improving health outcomes at a lower cost
  • Solidifying an excellent patient experience
  • Using digital technology to enhance the health care system
  • Population health management
  • A health care model based on better health outcomes instead of fee-for-service

“We are leading a movement to offer a better member experience at a lower cost,” said CEO Tom Grote during the summit. “Our new model of health care delivery in Arizona has the potential to become a national model for how an insurance company and a provider can create a sustainable solution for population health care management while setting a standard of excellence for the patient experience.”

The summit also included dynamic presentations from Banner Health chief medical officer Dr. Robert Groves, and a keynote speech, including a performance, from YouTube sensation ZDoggMD.
