How Banner|Aetna's Arizona Health Insurance Investments Transform Communities
Arizona health insurance company Banner|Aetna was founded in 2017 with a vision to improve health care for everyone in the community. As a joint venture formed between Banner Health and Aetna, a CVS Health company, Banner|Aetna combines deep local expertise with the national resources of its parent organizations. The unique 50/50 accountability model ensures that those providing care and those paying for it share a common goal of making care more effective and affordable for members.
But Banner|Aetna's commitment extends far beyond offering innovative health care coverage. Guided by our core values and backed by our parent companies’ strength, we work every day to uplift the communities we serve in Arizona, health insurance being just one of our contributions. Through targeted investments and partnerships, Banner|Aetna strives to make a positive, lasting impact on issues that affect the well-being of all residents in the state. We do this by focusing on three key pillars:
1. Improving access to affordable housing. Stable housing is foundational to community health, which is why we’re joining forces with CVS Health to address this critical need. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to live and through our investments, we're making that a reality for more people in Arizona.
2. Investing in local organizations and non-profits. We partner with organizations that are working to cultivate strong, resilient communities. These groups provide resources, support local initiatives and foster growth, helping to ensure that all who live here have access to the opportunities they need to thrive.
3. Promoting heart health. Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death in Arizona and we are committed to changing that. Through partnerships with organizations like the American Heart Association, we support events, educational programs and initiatives aimed at promoting cardiovascular health and preventing heart disease in our communities.
